THE CRAFTMARK GROUP SETS NEW SALES BENCHMARK IN FIRST HALF OF 2009.

McLean, Virginia – The Craftmark Group is already recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top 50 privately held businesses in the nation’s capital region, and ranked as the 79th largest homebuilder in the country by Professional Builder Magazine. Now they have bolstered their reputation for excellence and value with 165 total sales for the first half of 2009.

The significant new achievement breaks down to 69 sales for Craftmark single family homes and 96 sales for Craftstar townhomes and carriage single family homes. In the words of Ken Malm, President of the Craftmark Group, “These results clearly demonstrate that informed consumers are taking advantage of the best prices and interest rates in decades to buy their dream homes. Homeshoppers know that by acting now they can afford a whole lot more home now than by waiting.”

Ken Malm continued, “Our area leading sales clearly demonstrate continuing recovery in the marketplace. Now that people can readily sell their current homes, we are seeing a real balance in our sales between entry level and move up homes.”

The Craftmark Group has been honored with the “Greater Washington Entrepreneur of the Year Award” and the 5 time winner of the Large Volume Builder of the Year Award, as well as 50 other design and quality awards.
